CCTVA
Vehicle technical control centre
Bureau Veritas, present in Senegal since 1898 and world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification, contributes to the policy of improving the quality of Senegal's car fleet by reducing the failure rate from 43% to 25% between 2012 and 2018.
The Senegalese government, in its absolute desire to provide itself with modern infrastructures to fight against road insecurity and improve air quality, has entrusted Bureau Veritas with the operation of the Vehicle Technical Control Center (CCTVA) since 2010, within the framework of the C0108 convention and order N° 07733, which sets out the terms and conditions for the implementation of modern technical control in Senegal.
TOGETHER FOR ENHANCED ROAD SAFETY
In 2018, CCTVA detected and corrected more than 288,000 serious defects that could cause nearly 68,000 vehicles failure on the roads.
Our ongoing commitment to ethics has enabled us to litigate over 600 vehicles on behalf of the Directorate of Road Transport, Customs and the Gendarmerie.
